Welcome to January 2023 release of BetterCommerce. This latest release brings in numerous updates that we believe you will appreciate. Here are some of the noteworthy highlights:


Key Highlights

  1. Auto Split Delivery Plan : Auto split items in an order can help improve customer satisfaction by providing more accurate and timely deliveries, while also helping businesses streamline their inventory and shipping processes. This setting is configurable for you to choose how you want the default order fulfilment process, auto split feature can split the order into multiple shipments, sending the available items right away, and the out-of-stock items when they are back in stock.
  2. PDF upload in media library: Users can now upload and manage PDF files along with other media files. A new "PDF" file type has been added to the media library, allowing users to easily identify and manage PDF files.
  3. Paginated Index for variants: Pagination support for index has been added to control the pagination of results in the index queue when huge data is pushed for update this will divide the data into equal parts and push to index. This will process update requests faster and less failures or stalled queue.
  4. Feature toggle to Upsell Variants: With this toggle we can control if variants are allowed to cross sell or in other words one can have variants as related products that can be show on the PDPs or in the shopping cart depending on how business want to consume it. 


Commerce Hub

  1. Bulk Order Update: Bulk order update option added to release HOLD orders, customer service team can either approve orders manually one by one or by selecting them all. In principle all orders, which are on hold, does not get processed until any action taken i.e., Approve or Cancelled.  User will have following options to release any order from HOLD
    1. Approve
    2. Cancel 
  2. Sorting order: To enhance user convenience, we have sorted the filters for Payment Status, Microsites, and Payment Source in alphabetical order. This will make it simpler for users to locate the desired information.
     
  3. Company User: In customer listing added a new tab to show list of the user that are linked to a company, this way it gives clear view to business on the users and company users with the export functionality.

PIM 


  1. Feature toggle to Upsell Variants: With this toggle we can control if variants are allowed to cross sell or in other words one can have variants as related products that can be show on the PDPs or in the shopping cart depending on how business want to consume it.
  2. Cancel Schedule Launch: With this release we have added an option to delete existing pricelist schedule request, this will allow you to adjust the last-minute changes or to avoid human errors.
  3. Alphabetical Sorting Order: In general, we have done this across the PIM to make it easier for users to find information.
     
  4. Added Gender Information: To enrich product data in product details basic information section gender field is added.
     
  5. Index Optimization: In this release we have optimized the index by introducing pagination support , to control the pagination of results in the index queue when huge data is pushed for update this will divide the data into equal parts and push to index. This will process update requests faster and less failures or stalled queue. Example At times a product can have 100 plus variants like a product comes with 10 colors, 10 sizes and 2 gender; it will make 10*10*2 i.e., 200 product variants.


OMS


  1. We have made this setting configurable for you to choose how you want the default order fulfilment process, auto split feature can split the order into multiple shipments, sending the available items right away, and the out-of-stock items when they are back in stock.
  2. Display Product List in a Bin: To make it easier for the user to see all product that reside at a particular Bin with there as on date stock count by simply clicking an eye icon under view product. 
  3. Inventory export with Bin Information: Bin information has been added in the upgraded inventory view this will give you more details of the inventory location and hence increase the visibility.
  4. Update Bin Capacity: Now user have the provision to update the bin capacity from the screen, as in the physical world the bin area is increased or decreased.
     

 


Reporting


Stock Take Report has been published in this release in OMS to give user details on the stock take done with in a selected date range.
 

 

Storefront


Page Scheduler at Microsite Level: Now that we have the ability to schedule pages at the microsite level, which means that you can easily schedule your homepages in advance for two different countries.


Notable bug fixes

  1. Date picker to pick default current date while editing promotion validity has been sorted in the release, earlier it was setting it previous year date.
  2. Value discount promotion type not allowing decimal value has been sorted and now user can take advantage of it while offering discount. 
  3. Unable to select Parent category while adding a new category is also sorted.
  4. Quote screen breaking while updating any value has been sorted in this release.
